A full day seeing the sights of Firenze (Italian spelling of Florence) and the hilltop town of Fiesole just above the city. We hopped on the double-decker bus called the "Ho Ho" - short for hop-on, hop-off - and toured around the city in our big convertible! Up in the hills we enjoyed a great view of the city in the valley below and some even climbed further up to the church on top. Lunch was delicious in the little outdoor café along the main street. Back down in Florence a stop at Piazza Michelangelo gave us more great views of the city. An exact replica of the original "David" is there in bronze (well actually green now). After a little rest in the late afternoon we headed to the new food and drink courts over the central market for an Italian "Octoberfest" - and a good time was had by all! More to come so stay tuned . . .
