May 6 Going Home Day

All good things must come to an end and that happened early this morning as the taxis pulled up to the door and took everyone off to the airport.  Everyone except Mike and Barb who left by train yesterday for Rome and Sorrento for the next week or so.  It has been great traveling with family - my sister Judi and brother-in-law Tom - and new friends from Sun City.  Here are our last photos for this Tuscany tour.  My next group arrives tomorrow but there will never be another one like this one!

May 5 Our Last Day in Florence

So, we are down to the last full day of our Tuscany sojourn and we're spending the day in Florence.  All sorts of activities are going on as luggage is being packed, last minute shopping is accomplished, another walk or two around the city to say goodbye and we enjoy our last "wine down" this evening.  Photos today are a mixture of iconic and candid shots from the last couple of years in Florence.  These will give you an overall feeling of why this favorite Italian destination keeps calling you back to experience "La Dolce Vita" (the sweet life)!   Check later for one more post to say goodbye . . .
