What in the world is a "ho-ho bus" you might ask. It's the hop-on, hop-off double decker tour bus that gets you around to all the interesting places in Florence and beyond. We have headphones that give us a commentary of history and sights we are seeing as we travel along. We made a stop at Piazza Michelangelo ("The Green David") for perfect shots of the city below, especially great pictures of the Duomo (cathedral) and the Arno river bridges. Further up in the hills surrounding the city we had a nice stop in the town of Fiesole where we had lunch and wandered around taking photos. Also did some serious fine leather shopping! Before we got on the bus this morning we made a stop right on our own Faenza Street to see a beautiful fresco painting of The Lord's Supper from the late 1400's. It is located in a former convent and there are other works of art there too. Back in Florence for the afternoon and evening and still working on the jet lag. A nice time on a beautiful Tuscan day . . .more later.
