It's Thursday and time to see more of Florence and beyond on the Hop-on Hop-off tour bus (also known as the HO-HO). The bus took us all around the city and then up into the beautiful Tuscan hills to the town of Fiesole. Settled first by the Etruscans then the Romans this ancient city was totally destroyed after the fall of Rome but rebuilt in the Middle Ages. Ruins from the Romans can still be found there and it is a lovely and serene place to get away from the frenzy of Florence. The sights from the Piazza Michelangelo were great - you'll see. It was a beautiful sunny day with a cool breeze and we had a great time. The only missing links were Jerry and Rebecca who stayed behind at the residence today since she was feeling a bit out of kilter, but is doing okay as I write this. Tomorrow we off to our cooking class so be sure to come back! Enjoy your "tour" with us today.
