Another beautiful day in Tuscany and we had a great time up in the hills outside of Florence on our cooking tour. We started with a walk through some of historical Florence with our guide Sandra as she explained many of the food traditions of the city from ancient days to modern. A bus picked us up and took us to a lovely venue in the countryside to a state-of-the-art kitchen and dining facility. Carmella was our chef/instructor with Sandra doing the translation from Italian to English. It was such fun to do hands-on cooking with a menu that consisted of bruschetta, pasta, pizza, pork roast, potatoes, tiramisu and gelato! Here are a few photos to whet your appetite (pun intended) to take a look at a LOT more so you can get a real feel for what we experienced in Tuscany today. Here's the link to more photos - wish you could have been there!
