Today's tour is always a highlight as we board the motor coach for The Best of Tuscany Tour. Off we went to meet the bus at eight this morning, leaving behind the four "Belles" who were going on their own excursion to Siena today. Our first stop was Siena too where we saw the sights of that medieval city with a local tour guide. Then it was on to the organic farm and winery for a tour and lunch. Everything except the cheese (they don't keep sheep) was produced on the farm and it was delicious. Even the cows are raised there - which we ate in the meat sauce on the pasta made from the grains they grow. We tried four of their seven wines ending with the sweet Vin Santo with almond cookies for dessert. San Gimignano was our next stop for shopping and tasting some great gelato. The leaning tower was the center of attention when we made our last stop in Pisa. We were back in Florence before nine in the evening and everyone was ready to give up for the day. As always, it did really turn out to be "the best of Tuscany". Enjoy a few of the 261 photos I made today! More later . . .
